On the 20th of April we finally finished the wall which we started back in August 2017. Luckily for us the weather was fine over the Easter break which meant we were able to crack on and finish the beast! It feels great to look out on the garden and know that we never have to make another dry stone

March 2019: Spring in the garden
It was exciting this March to see some of the early flowering plants that we positioned last year burst into flower; these included the euphorbia, clematis, and some of the bulbs like the daffodil ‘Thalia‘; this multi-headed classic variety are pure white and really stand out against the bark mulch. Yes thats right… we’ve actually made our own homegrown compost from scratch and it looks alright…if a little lumpy! Back in June 2017 my trusty helper Luke made our composting station.
